Chairwoman Stabenow released the following statement on the Biden Administration’s biofuels announcement:

“Today’s announcement will provide stability and growth for the Renewable Fuel Standard into the future. This rule provides market certainty for an industry that will be vital to our efforts to confront the climate crisis. Biofuels are a low-carbon solution that lowers prices, grows rural economies, and plays a critical role in increasing U.S. energy security. With this rule, the Biden Administration is setting the highest-ever biofuel volume requirements under the RFS program, reaffirming their commitment to addressing the climate crisis and providing a stable biofuels market for our farmers. While there is always room to continue to grow this sector, I applaud the Administration for continuing to move us toward a homegrown energy future.
