There were two press releases published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in May.

The most recent press release, "USDA to Bring New Jobs and Improved Infrastructure to Rural Partners Network Communities," was submitted on May 22.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture published six press releases the month before, marking a 66 percent decrease for the current month.

The Department is primarily focused on food nutrition, with assistance programs making up 80 percent of its budget. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the Department implements too many regulations and restrictions and impedes the economy.

The USDA's budget for 2021 sat at $146 billion, with programming costing $119 billion.
