While in Linn County, often referred to as “the grass seed capital of the world,” Chairman Thompson and Committee members toured a local farm to learn more about Oregon’s specialty crop industry, including hazelnut and mint. Members also received a behind-the-scenes look at the process and equipment used for grass seed harvesting. 

Throughout their time in Oregon, members and stakeholders discussed the importance of a bipartisan, bicameral Farm Bill that addresses the needs of our farmers and foresters. Since the beginning of the 118th Congress, Chairman Thompson has emphasized the importance of bipartisan support for an effective Farm Bill and his commitment to working across the aisle to create solutions that support our nation's producers and consumers.
