On May 30, 2023, the State Council Tariff Commission (SCTC) announced another extension to Section 301 retaliatory tariff exclusions on 12 agricultural products, including shrimp for cultivation, whey for feed, fishmeal for feed, alfalfa and seven hardwood products through December 31, 2023. The 12 agricultural tariff lines are part of a list of 95 commodities that had their Section 301 tariff exclusions end on May 31, 2023 (see GAIN report CH2022-0131). In total, China has provided eleven extensions of tariff exclusion for different lists of commodities with various exclusion periods. The report contains an unofficial translation of the SCTC announcement and a list of agricultural products subject to the tariff exclusion.
