There were 20 press releases published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in February.

The most recent press release, "USDA Receives Equity Commission Interim Recommendations," was submitted on Feb. 28.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture published 24 releases the month before, marking a 16.7 percent decrease for the current month.

The Department is primarily focused on food nutrition, with assistance programs making up 80 percent of its budget. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the Department implements too many regulations and restrictions and impedes the economy.

The USDA's budget for 2021 sat at $146 billion, with programming costing $119 billion.
