The Fiscal Year 2023 Organic Transition Initiative (OTI) provides funding to support producers transitioning to organic production by providing financial assistance and technical assistance to implement conservation practices that support organic production.

The OTI will be available under the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) to assist producers with a new organic management standard that supports conservation practices required for organic certification.

In Minnesota the application deadline for EQIP-OTI is Thursday, June 15th, 2023.

Eligible producers include farmers, ranchers, and other producers beginning or in the process of transitioning to organic certification.

For more information on this program, contact a local NRCS field office to schedule an appointment.
