The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is announcing an opportunity for individuals or government agencies in the Texas Central Area to apply to AMS’s Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) for designation to provide official grain inspection services in the area. Additionally, FGIS requests comments on the need for U.S. Grain Standards Act (USGSA) services in this area.

Information, a description of the geographic area, and instructions for submitting applications and comments were published in the Federal Register on April 3, 2023. Applications and comments must be received by May 3, 2023.
